Follow our advice for your mtb and e-bike excursions in Tuscany and discover the Tuscan hinterland from your two-wheel vehicle.

We’ll start from the Castagni Estate, doing 4.5 kilometers of asphalt and from that point it will be all dirt except for a few minor road crossings. We’ll climb a dirt road to reach the Grattamacco farm, famous for its wine and surrounded by beautiful vineyards. We’ll pass in front of Castle Segalari from the Serni Estate. We’ll arrive to Calvestrina and reach Val Canina, from here we’ll be directed to Poggio Collacchia, Angolo di Rete and down a beautiful descent that divides into two parts, the one on the high side that leads us down to the entrance of the Rotoni slope and down again all the way to our starting point.

A simple path, but with some technical sections. Departure from Piazza del Plebiscito in Sassetta. Driving along the old Campigliese road stopping to get water at the source in Oppio. We’ll visit the Seripa Estate and pass next to the 'Bosco' museum (we can go and visit the museum, the gate is opened by lifting the bracket on top of the poles, closing it at the end) and then we’ll return to base.

The start and finish point is in Campiglia Marittima, with a scenic route always shown, except in summer. Here you’ll find almost all kinds of roads. All of them suitable for cycling without special technical skills. You will go through the vineyards of the best Val di Cornia wines and Suvereto is easily accessible taking small deviations from the route. | Trails 2003-2015 • Sassetta - through via del Carbone in | Trails

A little haven

We've just returned from 12 nights in the XXL tent. The site is located in the trees on the (very steep) hillside. It's quite shady so you don't come back to a boiling tent at the end of the day, and has some amazing views especially at sunset. The three pool areas cater to every...

Fantastic campsite

This is genuinely a fantastic campsite and it's hard to find any fault. Where to start?! The pool is fantastic - it was low season but there are loads and loads of sunbeds around 3 pools so I can't imagine them running out even in high season. It was a fabulous sun trap but there...
